The Hunger Games – Following Jesus isn’t always safe

OK, so I don’t have time to post this week but I have time to scope other people’s stuff.  Am I hypocritical?  Maybe.

Sue me.

One of the blogs I like to surf opened a dialogue up about tying following Jesus with The Hunger Games.  Check it out.  It’s VERY worth reading.  Hit me up with some convo if it sparks some thought.

    The theme that stood out the most to me — and would make a good student ministry teaching, now that I think of it — is the “underdog” theme they put into the movie. It made me think of the church and how there is literally no way we are going to defeat the “career tributes” of this world. And yet we will. Not with bows and arrows but with the flaming word o… Okay, I’m getting carried away.
